Did you know that only a few percentage of Civil Engineers actually perform Structural Design? Is Structural Analysis and Design really difficult to understand or just cumbersome to do?
If you want to become a Structural Designer, or at least familiarize yourself with their craft, this app: eStructural Lite: RCD-ASD-USC, will definitely help you Learn and Understand the Concepts behind Structural Analysis and Design of Reinforced Concrete through Clear and Methodological use of Formulas and Computations.
This eStructural App uses the Allowable Strength Design (ASD) or Working Stress Method (WSM) to design Reinforced Concrete (RC) members like Slabs, Beams, Columns, Walls, Footings, Plie caps and Stairs.
Students can quickly learn the concept of ASD of Structural Analysis and Design of Reinforced Concrete. Teachers can have lessons rich with examples. Professionals will have the tools for a quick Analysis and Design of Reinforced Concrete using ASD, whether as comparison to Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) or as a final design consideration.
The app is divided into 6 modules:
1.) Slabs, with One way, Two way and Cantilever.
2.) Beams, with Simply-supported, Cantilever and T-beams, which all can be designed as Singly-reinforced or Doubly-reinforced beams.
3.) Columns, with Spirally-tied circular column and Laterally-tied Square and Rectangular columns.
4.) Foundations, with Wall footing, Square and Rectangular shaped Isolated or Spread footings.
5.) Pile Caps, up to 20 pile configuration.
6.) Stairs, with Transversely supported and Longitudinally supported stairs.
Each design module of structural members has a wide array of parameters that the user can choose from for ease and flexibility in analysis and design. The output design is organize in a clear step by step format with computation for an in-depth understanding of the whole design process and can be exported as Pdf file through email (iPhone email configuration settings required).
